Here are 2 ways to grow lemongrass plants. The first method is to cut a stem off a mother plant trying to get some roots with it and to plant that in a pot and place in a warm place and water frequently. The second way is to buy some lemongrass stems from the supermarket being sure to choose some with a small amount of root. Place it in water for 2 to 3 weeks in a warm shaded place. Roots will sprout from the base and leaves from the top cut end. Transfer to a pot with 60/40 potting mix/garden soil.
